Haselden Construction completed a vertical expansion to the University of Colorado Denver’s School of Dental Medicine Building on the university’s Anschutz Medical Campus.

The third-floor addition, directly above the existing structure, included a 24-chair dental clinic. The fourth-floor addition included another dental clinic with 72 chairs. Both floors have supporting radiology, work spaces, office space, restrooms, reception and waiting areas.

To create the additions, Haselden extended one stair core and two elevator cores.

Haselden worked around the schedule of the operating facility to complete structural steel, MEP tie-in and demolition. Our crews often worked in the evenings, on weekends or other times when school was not in session. All shutdowns and impacts to the facility were scheduled a minimum of two weeks in advance with the facilities operations group using Haselden’s Method of Procedures (MOP) process.
