Haselden Construction has one of the leading safety and health programs in the industry.

We are proud of our safety culture at Haselden and recognize the importance of providing a safe work environment in the construction industry. Our steadfast commitment to innovative safety procedures and protocols has resulted in numerous awards, including three National AGC (Associated General Contractors) Safety Awards.

Hands-On Approach

Haselden takes an aggressive, hands-on approach to every project’s customized safety program. Our firm has been singled out repeatedly by insurance and safety groups for our innovative approaches to creating safe jobsites. An Experience Modification Rate of 1.0 is the industry norm; 0.85 is considered excellent. Haselden’s EMR is consistently significantly lower than this industry benchmark of excellence. Our clients are assured of exemplary safety practices.

Safety: Top of Mind

I Got Your 6

Haselden’s “I Got Your 6” program rewards both our team members and our subcontractors’ team members for catching and correcting behavior and processes that could be done in a safer manner. They are recognized on social media and with Safety Bucks which they can redeem for some great merchandise! Click on the Safety Bucks icon to redeem yours!

Raising Awareness

The construction industry has historically been one of the most dangerous lines of work, and Haselden is a leading force in raising awareness and changing behavior with regard to construction safety practices. Here are a few things we’re doing to help all construction workers get home safely:

  • Silica Training Videos: The first of their kind, we produced these to train our team members and we encourage you to use them to train yours. Download them in English or Spanish, or view them at the bottom of the page.
  • Training Our Subs: Any time our OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour classes have an open spot, we offer that to our subcontractors free of charge.
  • I Got Your 6 Program: We put our money where our mouth is and reward jobsite craft workers for catching and correcting behavior and processes that could be done in a safer manner (see above).
  • LinkedIn Safety Site: We use this social media site to promote safe practices, keep people informed, and give shout-outs to people recognized through the “I Got Your 6” program.

We are proud to say our efforts have been recognized many times by The Associated General Contractors of America. This year we were honored to take home 2nd Place in AGC’s National Construction Safety Excellence Awards. Twice, we’ve taken home the 1st Place National Award for Safest Contractor of the Year for General Contractors within our category.
