Haselden Construction, with joint venture partner Diesslin Structures, built the Moffat PK-12 replacement school in rural Saguache County. The project qualified for a BEST Grant after demonstrating the severe inadequacies of the previous structure. Issues included serious foundation deterioration, an inefficient and failing heating system, erosion of the plumbing system, and building security concerns.

Designed by RTA Architects, the new school holds approximately 140 students. In addition to standard classrooms, the new facility houses specialty classrooms, including a science lab, computer lab, and industrial technology room, as well as a gym, kitchen and cafeteria, and music room/stage.

The Haselden|Diesslin team was instrumental in supporting the community and helping to pass the bond initiative required to supplement the BEST Grant. This is Haselden’s sixth BEST Grant project and third joint venture school project with Diesslin.
