The Limon School Board unanimously selected the Haselden Construction/Klipp|gkkworks design-build team for architectural planning and construction of a $20 million expansion of the Limon Public School.

The district serves more than 400 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12 in eastern Colorado. The project, which broke ground in the summer of 2014, includes an addition of approximately 75,400 square feet for classrooms, a library, cafeteria and student commons, kitchen and administrative offices. Another 42,600 square feet will be renovated to provide students, faculty, and staff with more functional and efficient spaces for the delivery of 21st-century education.

The existing middle school and library will be demolished, allowing for construction of new classrooms and administrative offices. Once that construction is complete, the existing elementary and high school wings will be demolished and replaced with new building connections and site improvements that include a parking lot and playground.
