Do not limit your research to the areas that seem interesting – browse various job descriptions, you might find lots of intriguing new areas that you have not thought about before;

- Consider an apprenticeship – many construction companies offer apprenticeship programs to people who are looking for a new career, but who have no or very little experience in the new field.
