Located in the heart of the Auraria Higher Education Campus in Denver, Haselden constructed the four-story garage housing more than 800 parking spaces.
The Community College of Denver, the University of Colorado at Denver and Metropolitan State College of Denver -— which combine to form the largest undergraduate college campus in the country — all share parking space. The garage alleviated a number of parking problems.
Haselden worked closely with the architect during the preconstruction phase to provide a detailed cost model and establish alternatives that maintained the project budget while supporting design intent. Construction was completed under a fast-track schedule in 9 ½ months to enable students to purchase parking permits before the next academic year.
The Auraria Parking Garage was awarded the esteemed Award of Excellence in the parking structure category by the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the American Concrete Institute.
