Safety

Haselden Construction has one of the leading safety and health programs in the industry.

We are among the first general contractors to receive the top BLUE-level status within Construction Health and Safety Excellence (CHASE),a partnership between AGC and OSHA to mutually recognize the importance of providing a safe work environment in the construction industry.

Hands-On Approach

Haselden takes an aggressive, hands-on approach to every project’s customized safety program. Our firm has been singled out repeatedly by insurance and safety groups for our innovative approaches to creating safe jobsites. An Experience Modification Rate of 1.0 is the industry norm; 0.85 is considered excellent. Haselden’s EMR is consistently significantly lower than this industry benchmark of excellence. Our clients are assured of exemplary safety practices.

I Got Your 6

Haselden has initiated a new program called “I Got Your 6.” This program rewards both our employees and our subcontractors’ employees for catching and correcting behavior that could be done in a safer manner.

Raising Awareness

The construction industry has historically been one of the most dangerous lines of work. Haselden is a leading force in raising awareness and changing behavior with regard to construction safety practices. Over the last decade, Haselden has trained over 2,000 team members in OSHA 10 and another 300+ in OSHA 30-hour. To improve safety in our industry, Haselden is offering OSHA 10 training to our subcontractors (in both Spanish and English)—at no cost to them—and is producing professional quality videos for use throughout the industry on topics such as crystalline silica safety (in Spanish and English).
