Haselden Construction is committed to sustainable practices and to the development of construction solutions that meet environmental and energy objectives. The firm is currently working on several projects that are being designed and constructed with the intent of achieving LEED Silver, Gold and Platinum certification. Its most recent LEED certified project, the Mile High Station Post Office and Parking Garage, is the first LEED groundup structure for the City and County of Denver. The City received a Silver LEED rating from the U.S. Green Building Council. During construction of this project, 68% of the construction waste was recycled, and low emission materials, including paints, adhesives, sealants, and carpet systems, were used. The Post Office produces a 37% savings in water usage and 30% savings in energy bills.
