Haselden Construction, LLC

Community Involvement

At Haselden, we have a vested interest not only in your building, but in the impact our work has within your community. Whether large or small, we take great pride in every project, and strive to make a difference in the communities we serve.

We participate in neighborhood forums to share information about a local project we’re building. We demonstrate to students during school construction projects how math and science skills are used in the principles of construction. We are a part of the community fabric, giving not only monetarily to local charities, but by volunteering our time and talents. Our community and outreach initiatives proudly reflect our Sense of Belonging core value.

Mile High United Way
Haselden is a strong supporter of the Mile High United Way. Through payroll deductions, volunteerism, and special fundraisers, we are helping to make a difference for local individuals and families in need.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Haselden Construction partners with The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, construction industry friends and other foundation supporters as we sponsor The Annual 65 Roses Golf Classic. This annual event has raised over $4 million in for Cystic Fibrosis research.

The Denver Zoo
Since Haselden’s first Zoo building project in 1991, Haselden has enjoyed a longstanding friendship with the Denver Zoo. Haselden has been a sponsor and participant in major zoo fundraising events including the famous Do at the Zoo and Boo at the Zoo. Other events sponsored by Haselden include golf outings and educational briefings.

The University of Colorado Hospital
Haselden Construction continues a strong relationship with the University of Colorado Hospital by supporting UCH outreach and fundraising programs.

The Denver Museum of Nature and Science
Like so many of our unique cultural institutions, the DMNS relies on philanthropic giving to continue the inspiring educational exhibits and programs that began back in 1900. Haselden is proud to contribute to events and galas that raise funds to bring world-class exhibitions to our local community.

Supporting Public and Private Education
Haselden is a strong advocate of enhancing the education our nation’s children and young adults. Nearly one third of our work is in the education arena, from primary and secondary to higher education facilities. Building better schools positively impacts learning, providing our future leaders with the environment they need for success. Our company and its employees have responded to many charitable and sponsorship opportunities to demonstrate much needed support for public schools, universities, private, faith-based, and charter schools.

A few of our educational sponsorships and initiatives at a glance:

Colorado State University Industrial Science Building
Built in 1883, CSU’s Industrial Science Building was in need of major renovations, but funding was not in the forecast. The historic building houses the school’s Construction Management program. So it seemed fitting, though highly unusual, for 13 construction firms to come together in the spirit of community giving and donate their time and materials to renovate the building.

Spearheaded by Haselden President and CEO Ed Haselden, the $4.2 million project is being funded 100% by monetary donations, services, and in-kind products from the various firms. Renovations will include a modern preconstruction laboratory, classrooms, lecture hall, study lounge, technology center and public spaces. These donations will not only provide improved academic learning spaces that support the construction industry, but, equally important, the donations show CSU’s construction management students how important collaboration is when completing any construction project.

Picken’s Tech Scholarship Program
The brainchild of one of Haselden’s own employees, a scholarship program was created to support Pickens Tech, the technical education campus of Aurora Public Schools. Individuals who qualify receive a full scholarship to the Pickens Tech Trades Program and, upon graduation, begin a career with Haselden. Sharing our skills with these young minds and future leaders of our industry is a win-win for the students, the community and the company.

University of Wyoming
Haselden has developed a strong partnership with the University of Wyoming. We are proud to be a supporting sponsor of the University of Wyoming Athletic Department Sports Programs. We build these relationships because we are committed to building the best learning environments for our future leaders.
